Botanical name: Tectona grandis L. F.
Trademarks: Teak (Eng.); Teck (Fr.); Teak (Ing.).
Durability: durable wood. Unlikely to attack by fungi and borers.
Technological properties: • Workability: the abrasiveness of this wood resulting from silica content may hamper their workability.
• Drying: slow but relatively easy to drive.
• Finish: allows good finishes.
• Bonding: glue satisfactorily.
