Botanical name: Guibourtia arnoldiana J. Léonard.
Trademarks: Mutene (Eng.); Mutenye (Fr. and Ing.); Benge; Libenge.
Durability: Moderately durable. Unlikely to attack by fungi and borers.
Technological properties:
• Workability: Despite its hardness and density is not difficult to work.
• Drying: shall be conducted taking into account the possibility of exudation when performed at elevated temperatures.
• Finish: allows good finishes.
• Bonding: glue satisfactorily.
