Botanical name: Albizzia ferruginea Benth. (Albizzia angolensis Welw.)
Trademarks: Mufufuta (Eng.); Iatandza (Fr); West African Albizzia (Ing.); Zazange.
Durability: durable wood. It is not susceptible to attack by fungi and borers.
Technological properties:
• Workability: easy to work, either by mechanical means or with manual tool.
• Drying: slow, with very slight shrinkage and minimal risk of cracking.
• Finish: allows good finishes.
• Bonding: glue satisfactorily.
