Family - Fabaceae
Botanical name: Dipteryx spp.
Trademarks: Cumaru (Eng.); Tonka (Fr. and Ing.); Kumaru; Muimapagé.
Durability: Wood very durable. Wooden high resistance to attack by fungi and borers.
Technological properties:
• Workability: hard to cut.
• Drying: slow. There are some risks of deformation and cracking.
• Finish: allows good finishes.
• Bonding: delicate.
